What do we do, and how can we help you? Swedish visitors can download this pdf while waiting for us to launch this page in Swedish. First of all, being member of a living history group such as Albrechts Bössor, doesn't mean you are "living medieval" twentyfour-seven. Living history is a hobby, nothing more. When we are not engaging in the group's activities, we go to work or school, spend time with the family, work out or do something else completely ordinary.
But back to what we do. You could say our activities are divided into two seasons - wintertime and summertime. As wintertime makes it a bit harder to live a life in tents, and as most living history events are taking place during summer vacations, it's easy to believe wintertime is down time. It couldn't be further from the truth. The winter season is spent making new equipment and upgrading old. This goes hand in hand with researching to learn more about 14th century society, life and habits on one hand, and objects for everyday use and warfare on the other. When we have sufficient knowledge of a specific artifact we plan to recreate, we go straight ahead and do it. We would love to come to your event, your seminar, class or play a part in the making of your movie or TV-series, whether it be in full costume and armour, or just as experts on the period, the day-to-day objects or fourteenth century society. We are also available for photo sessions. Our performances are well liked, as the audience has the chance to see, touch, hear and smell the middle ages! This makes people remember - a seven year old kid will never forget when he first tried on a helmet or hand stitched jacket. We are able to give lectures on almost any subject medieval, although our speciality (of course) is medieval fire arms. Please contact us to tailor the specific needs for your event. Even if you should reside outside of Sweden, it wouldn't be a problem; we have lots of experience of doing our thing in other countries. Click the Interact-button in the menu to contact us.
