Thank you , im gonna check their website and see if they have any pictures of it.

Making horn panel is quite timeconsuming and not everyone knows how to do it, still pretty sad when people cheat.

Were looking through Racaires pics on her Flick and found this fantastisk picture of a profane emberoidery from the 15th century. Look at the left side of the lady.

How do you interpret that kind of lantern? Is it round or is it square? Or is it hexagonal?

Ask Lorenz from Elvelueuet Hamborch, he has made a honest reconstruction of it.

I would say that the wood in the top and in the buttom os round, but when you but the parcement in that might make it a bit hexagonal since it is hard to make rounded (or that is what my logic tells me ;) )

Unfortunately Lorenz of the ElveLüüt is keeping his lantern reconstuction plans top secret!

We saw his replica in Seeth-Ekholt and asked him whether he would give the plans to us, too, but regrettably this was denied.
He stated that it took him so much time to work this out that he did not want people to only benefit from his plans without doing work themselves...

Understandable, but what a pity - this lantern was so beautiful!

Oh, bummer, i just sent him an email asking if i could get some pictures of it.

But if you have seen his copy, perhaps you could say if the pictures that i have posted above are accurate or not?
