that should teach me - always read the original text along with the interpretation:

it says the women should not use "stripen" als dress ornaments...
strips of fabric, woven borders - that could be almost anything :roll:

Next to the Lübeck mayor and the English merchant there is also this one:

Mayor Johann von Soest and his wife, 1360 or 1361, in Torun. That's now Poland but was in German Prussia back then and a Hansa town.
